Members and guests who have visited our club over the past week may have noticed the presence of heavy equipment along with our staff and volunteers, working very hard to perform necessary berm maintenance and improvements on our 600-yard, Area 51, and Main Line Ranges.

As a part of this activity, target frame weldments and the railroad ties supporting them needed to be removed to avoid damage, with many of them being targeted for replacement.

Last Thursday and Friday we focused our efforts on the 600-yard range, which enabled us to reopen that range before the weekend to host our regularly scheduled Benchrest Gong and Steel Prone Matches.

On Monday the focus shifted towards our Main Line, with the goal of reopening that range by this Thursday. As of today the earth moving work on the Main Line had been completed, but we are still faced with the monumental task of replacing all of the target weldments and railroad ties on the target lines.

Unfortunately as a result we are forced to close our Main Line this Thursday so that the remaining work may be completed, while the rest of our facility will remain OPEN.

We are in dire need of volunteers to help us out!

For club members who are able to join us and volunteer, your assistance would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

We’ll begin work at 8:30am on Thursday, with the goal of finishing before end of day and reopening the Main Line on Friday.
