NRA Basic Pistol Basic Pistol Course

Description: 8 hrs Classroom & Range time- This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning, storing, and operating a pistol safely. It includes classroom and range time, learning the basic operations of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students will complete a live fire training exercise. This class CAN be used to apply for a Fl CCW permit.
Best For : This class is best for new gun owners who desire a broad scale training on the various types of pistols,basic shooting skills, gun owners who have their CCP/CCW but have no experience and/or got the “fast class” to qualify for their CCP/CCW and now don’t know how to shoot and want to feel confident in their knowledge of the firearms they are carrying and shooters thinking about the NRA instructor training program or other “accredited” programs (advancement) that will require “proof” of a NRA course.*

This is NOT the 2 hour class that pushes students through that a lot of instructors give where their students end up with a CCP and still don’t know how to safely and properly handle the firearm they are carrying. Course Info: We will provide a handgun to use if you do not have one. Please contact the instructor for details. Students that do own a handgun should bring their handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition. Students should bring their own eye and ear protection and wear appropriate range attire. ( If you have questions about this please contact the instructors). You will NOT be allowed on the range if you do not have the proper safety equipment and are not dressed appropriately.

IMPORTANT: Students must not be ineligible to possess a firearm. If you feel that you might have an impediment to firearm ownership, please contact the instructor prior to registration.
Cost: $135 for Tuition, Books, and Range Fees. VETS/LEO/ AG & AG discounts are available, Ammunition required: 50 rounds. Course time: Approximately 8 hours
