Women On Target® Clinic

November 18, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

If you’re curious about firearms, whether for personal defense or to learn a new sport, Women On Target® is the perfect place to start. These instructional shooting clinics are designed to teach you firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to safely handle and operate a firearm upon completion.
Women On Target® clinics are available only to women — it’s a safe and friendly environment whether you’re picking up a gun for the very first time or are just brushing off some dust and need a little refresher. You’ll immediately feel at ease in this five hour clinic, and will be provided with a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate.
The cost is $50. You will receive a gift bag that contains key material you need in order to be a knowledgeable, safe shooter. We will provide you the firearms and ammunition needed to demonstrate your new skill. Eye and ear protection will be provided if you do not have the equipment already in hand.
The clinic is five hours, starting at 9 am. You will need to bring a sack lunch. Please wear close toed shoes and a shirt, such as a polo, that you can button up.
Class size is limited to ten women.
It is taught by Larry C Johnson, a NRA Certified Pistol Instructor.
No Live ammunition is permitted inside the classroom. If you have your own firearm, you may bring it to the range but it must remain locked inside your car until you are directed by the instructor to bring your firearm to the range. If you are bringing your own gun, it must be properly cased and can only be removed on the range under the direction of the instructor or the Range Safety Officers on site.
After the class ends, the instructor will be happy to work with you (at no extra charge) to answer any questions you may have about your own firearm and to ensure you can demonstrate how to safely handle, load, fire and unload your pistol or revolver.
Please contact Larry Johnson at (301) 442-5957 or lcjohnson1@me.com if you have any questions.
