Information you give us

You share information with us when you fill out a form or contact the club. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Your name, email address, phone number and mailing address
• The content of your message, question or request
• Range reservation details — the bay or range requested, date, time and number of shooters
• Volunteer interest, including the roles and dates you sign up for
• Employment enquiries and any information you choose to include
• Order and shipping details when you buy merchandise through our online store

You do not have to give us any of this. If you would rather not use a form, call the range office at (941) 322-0055.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or search that sent you. This is aggregate traffic information — we use it to understand which pages are useful, not to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to measure site traffic and see which pages and buttons people use. These set cookies in your browser. We use this only in aggregate, to improve the site.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics entirely at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the site.

How we use your information

• To answer questions and respond to requests you send us
• To process range reservations, membership applications and merchandise orders
• To coordinate volunteers, training clinics, matches and club events
• To send club news, event notices, closures and schedule changes to people who have asked to hear from us
• To keep the range safe and to administer club rules and membership records
• To maintain and improve the website

When we share information

We share personal information only in these situations:

• Service providers. Companies that run parts of our operation on our behalf — our website and CRM platform, our membership system, our email service, and the payment processor that handles store transactions. They may use your information only to provide that service to the club.
• Club officers, staff and volunteers who need the information to do their job — for example, an RSO confirming a reservation or the office processing a membership.
• When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people at the range or the rights and property of the club.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Payments

Online purchases are processed by a third-party payment processor through our website platform. The club never sees or stores your full card number. Your payment details go directly to the processor, which handles them under its own security standards and privacy policy.

Links and services run by others

Several things on this site hand you off to another company's platform. Once you are there, that company's privacy policy applies, not ours:

We are not responsible for how those companies handle your information, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Emails and text messages

If you ask to hear from the club, we may email you about hours, closures, matches, leagues and club news. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask the office to remove you at any time. We may still contact you about something you specifically asked us for — a reservation you requested, an order you placed, or your membership.

Children

Junior shooters are welcome at MGAC with a parent or guardian, but this website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 13. Forms about a junior shooter should be completed by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information online, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep information, and how we protect it

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was given — membership and range records for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterward, general enquiries for a shorter time. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect what we hold. No website or system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what personal information the club holds about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also opt out of club emails at any time. Write to [email protected] or call (941) 322-0055 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights over your personal information. Contact us using the details below and we will honor any rights that apply to you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will post the updated policy here and change the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced to the membership.
