Main Firing Line (Rifle & Pistol)

Our main line consists of four separate areas with eighty-two covered benches on a concrete pad for protection against the elements. It accommodates shooting at 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, and 1,000 yards, with the addition of steel gong targets at 300 and 1000 yards. For all distances, paper targets with coroplast backers are fastened to 1″ x 2″ wooden poles with plastic clamps to safeguard against ricochets. Patrons may also shoot our .22 caliber Rimfire Steel Gallery on the 25-yard Pistol Line with a .22 caliber rimfire pistol or rifle.

Pistol Challenge Course

The Pistol Challenge Course (PCC) is designed to provide an alternative to static shooting at a single paper target, as would normally be done on the mainline. Using either a pistol (with or without a holster) or a pistol-caliber carbine, the shooter can engage a variety of both paper and steel targets from varying distances and angles. Additionally, the PCC is designed to accommodate shooters of varying skills: CCW, IDPA, 3-Gun (pistol portion only), and target shooters simply looking for a change from shooting at single paper targets.

600-yard Rifle Range

Our 600-yard rifle range consists of approximately sixteen bench rest tables, with both paper and permanent steel targets. The 600-yard rifle range is available for members and the public during our normal operating hours unless previously rented or a competitive match is being held. Shooting the 600-yd range requires a formal qualification on our main firing line first, which demonstrates the ability to place five consecutive shots while maintaining 2 MOA @ 300 yards, with all shots striking within the black using a Birchwood Casey 6″ diameter Shoot-N-C Target or equivalent.  Once qualified you will receive a qualification card in our office listing the rifle/sighting system you qualified with. Please note that the qualification is given for a specific shooter+rifle+sighting system combination, which means that if you have two rifles that you wish to shoot on the 600-yard yard range, you must qualify with both rifles on the 300-yard range first. You do not have to be a club member to be qualified for the 600-yard range. The 600-yard range is frequently used for scheduled matches, so please call ahead or check the calendar on this website to ensure that the range will be open for walk-up shooters before planning your visit.

1,000-yard Rifle Range

Our 1,000-yard rifle range is located on the Main Firing Line and consists of approximately eight bench rest tables, with steel gong targets. The 1,000-yard rifle range is available for use by members and the public during our normal operating hours.

Our Cowboy Action Bay is available for private rentals and regularly hosts the Miakka Misfits Shoot on the third Sunday of every month.
